8. Party Hat

9. Hat Trim
With pale pink:
Join pink to the lower edge of the hat and work:

Fasten off to create the scalloped brim.
10. Hat Band
With pale pink:
Chain a short cord to wrap around the middle of the hat, or embroider a simple band around one round near the top.
11. Pom-Pom
With pale pink:

Stuff lightly or leave soft. Sew to the top of the hat.
12. Ruffle Collar
With pale pink and pastel yellow:

Ch 30–36, join carefully into a ring.

With yellow, add a loose edging around the outer edge using slip stitches or single crochet for the second color accent.
Fasten off. Wrap around the neck and tack in place.
13. Face Details
- Insert safety eyes before fully closing the head.
- Sew the trunk centered below the eyes.
- Embroider soft curved brows above the eyes.
- Keep the mouth minimal or omit it to match the sample.
14. Assembly
- Sew the trunk to the center front of the head.
- Attach the ears to the sides of the head, slightly low and outward.
- Sew the head to the top of the body.
- Attach the two front legs to the front lower body.
- Sew the two back legs to the sides/back lower body so the elephant sits upright.
- Embroider the white toe details on each foot.
- Assemble the party hat by adding the pink trim, band, and pom-pom.
- Sew the hat to the top of the head.
- Wrap the ruffle collar around the neck and tack it in place.
- Weave in all ends securely.
