7. Toe Details
With cream or white:
Embroider 3 short toe stitches on each foot. Add 2–3 short toe stitches on the front of each hand if desired.
8. Tusks (Make 2)
With cream or white:

Stuff very lightly or leave unstuffed. Shape with a gentle outward curve and fasten off with a long tail.
9. Small Rosette Flowers (Make 6–8)
Use lavender and pink.
Ch 16.
Row 1: 2 hdc in each ch across.
Roll the strip into a spiral and sew the base closed.
Use these for the clustered hydrangea-like blooms on the crown and back.
10. Open Flower (Make 1–2)
With white petals and a pale center:
R1: 5 sc in MR (5)
In each stitch work: ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st in same st
Fasten off. Add a small contrasting center knot if desired.
11. Simple Five-Petal Flowers (Make 3–4)
With pink:
R1: 5 sc in MR (5)
In each stitch work: ch 2, hdc, ch 2, sl st in same st
Fasten off. These match the flatter blossoms attached near the back.
12. Leaves (Make 8–10)
With sage green:
Ch 6.
Work back along the chain: sl st, sc, hdc, sc, sl st.
Fasten off. Vary sizes slightly by using chains of 5 or 7 for a more organic arrangement.
13. Floral Crown Cluster
Assemble several lavender rosettes, one white open flower, one pink blossom, and 3–4 green leaves into a crown-shaped cluster. Sew the group to the top front of the head, slightly angled to one side.
14. Back Bouquet Cluster
Assemble 2–3 pink flowers, 2–3 lavender rosettes, and several green leaves into a small bouquet. Sew it to the back-right side of the body so it peeks out behind the shoulder.
15. Face Details
- Insert safety eyes before fully closing the head.
- Sew the trunk centered below the eyes.
- Attach one tusk on each side of the trunk base, angled outward and slightly down.
- Keep facial embroidery minimal to match the soft look of the sample.
16. Assembly
- Sew the trunk to the center front of the head.
- Attach the tusks to both sides of the trunk base.
- Sew the ears to the sides of the head, slightly low and outward.
- Attach the head to the top of the body.
- Sew the arms to the upper front sides of the body.
- Attach the legs to the lower front so the elephant sits upright.
- Embroider the cream toe details on feet and hands.
- Sew the floral crown cluster onto the top of the head.
- Attach the flower bouquet cluster to the back side of the body.
- Adjust flower placement and weave in all ends securely.
